China's new orders for ships have increased, benefiting from ship coatings
the number of new orders for ships in China has gradually increased recently, but due to overcapacity, ship enterprises are still under pressure to start work
according to the data released by the Ministry of industry and information technology on September 16, China received 9.8 million deadweight tons of new ship orders from June to August, × 50, accounting for 89% of the new orders received from January to August 2009. This means that compared with the new orders of only 1.18 million tons in the previous may, the domestic new ship orders have increased recently
at the same time, the year-on-year decline of cumulative new orders has slowed down. Compared with the same period last year, the number of new orders in the first eight months decreased by 82%, while the cumulative year-on-year decrease in the first five months was 96%
however, compared with China's shipbuilding capacity of 60million tons, the number of new orders is still too small
in a report in August, the China Shipbuilding Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the China Shipbuilding Association) pointed out that in the case of a sharp reduction in new ship orders and the ordering of handheld ships, the reason is that the electromechanical orders controlled by the servo system continue to decline, and the rapid release of shipbuilding capacity, the weight reduction value is relatively large, the contradiction between supply and demand is increasingly prominent, and the shipbuilding enterprises are facing increasing pressure of insufficient construction
China Shipping Association pointed out that at present, most emerging shipyards in China hold ship orders by the end of 2010 or the first half of 2011, and some shipyards face insufficient construction in the second half of 2009
the China Shipbuilding association also predicts that under the dual influence of the world economic recession and the huge delivery of transport capacity, global shipbuilding enterprises will still face the problem of difficult order taking in the next two to three years
Bao Zhangjing, chief researcher of China Shipbuilding Industry Economic Research Center, also told the media a few days ago that "there is no condition for the current fundamentals to recover"
despite the gradual increase in ship orders, the number of orders fell sharply year-on-year, and the prospects of the ship market are still not optimistic. On the one hand, the future economic recovery will drive the corresponding market demand for marine coatings; On the other hand, the openness and competition of the market will also increase day by day. Only by accelerating the reform in relevant fields, changing the growth mode, taking independent innovation as the core link of the motor integrated design of the local machine, and strengthening the development of the marine coating market, can we enhance the confidence of the coating industry and break through the bottleneck of marine coating production capacity
